Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are in the market for a new car.  It’s an urgent search as we need to replace the vehicle quickly.  In looking for a new car there are 2 things that drive a purchase.  Your heart falls in love with a car and you just have to have it or, you do your research and buy what is the best vehicle for the money you have available to you.

Last week our area got hit by a pretty heavy storm early in the morning.  For an hour or so I laid awake listening to the blowing wind and watching the lightening show.  Finally, about 6 a.m. we got up to a completely dark home.  The power was out.  That meant no coffee.  Not a good way to start our day. How dare that storm deprive me of my morning coffee!

I have noticed something over the last few years of my life.  It all started with a hip replacement from a college sports injury.  I’m dying.  My body is failing. The doctor told me I need to get my stress under control or I’m going to keel over with a heart attack someday. I have realized that I probably, well almost certainly, have less life to live than I have already lived.

My youngest daughter graduated from college in December.  She is a woman of strong opinions and very independent.  Two of her stronger opinions was never getting married young and hating winter.  She never counted on the boy who came into her life.  He graduated in May and got a job in Minnesota.

I have a Keurig coffee maker in my office.  I like it for 2 major reasons; It’s extremely convenient and I can have several varieties of hot drinks for anyone who comes to my office. Whatever I’m in the mood for that day, as long as I have the K-Cup, I’m good to go. Do you want regular coffee?  I’ve got it.  Want tea?  I’ve got it.  Want a flavored coffee?  I’ve got it.  And it’s all yours in 2 minutes or less. (now imagine Tim Allen doing his man grunt from Home Improvement)
