About Us

The Rochester congregation was started in 1956 as a planting by the Mentone congregation. The original building was erected in 1957. Since then we have had a constant leadership of elders and for the most part have had full-time ministers. In 1998 we tripled the size of the present building to seat 200 in the auditorium and added a fellowship hall in back. The downstairs has been converted into much needed extra classrooms and a pre-school. in 2005 we purchased a building on Main Street that is now our Youth Center. We have become known in the community for people who treat you like a friend when you visit with us, not just a “friendly” church. Dress is fairly informal at our services, so don’t feel like you have to have your “Sunday Best” to be part of our worship services. We have been blessed by God with good growth over the last few years both in members moving to our area and reaching into our community. We average 130 on Sunday mornings now.
